| The change they made to the ending was an improvement. Except for one of Dr. Manhattan's lines at the end, which might be a major thing depending on who you ask.
They only had two theaters open, as opposed to Dark Sided Stuff Knight's midnight thing, which had I think every theater open, and there was no room in the parking lot to park, you had to park in another store. There was still a huge crowd for this, but not as big, and I think that's too bad, because I actually think that Watchmen is a better movie(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). There are some minor technical nitpicks (obvious chop socky folying in the fights, obvious music selections, too much gay ass Leonard Cohen, who sucks ass by the way, he's like the eddie vedder of his generation, the soundtrack could've used more 70s R&B or something). This is easily ignored as the movie is immediately awesome, because it is entertaining and characterful. Jso wanted me to get a soda pop soft drink 2 liter from the store before he went to sleep, like an hour before the movie, so I said I would. So when I went to get that at the local liquor store I got some more of that gay ass Seagram's apple dapple shit and brought a bottle into the theater. I think it helped. :3 Then I drove home drunk woo aow. Actually I drank only at the beginning, so by the time the movie was over I was good to drive again. Also what helped a gigantic amount was reading the comic book first. Watching the movie without already being familiar with the characters and events just means that you will have to watch it a second time to really appreciate it, just like The Big Lebowski. Also I think Rorschach is going to be a huge like meme character after people see him in the movie. He's completely identical to his comic book version, except in a movie, so in a way it's even easier to like him. |
