| I had low hopes for this game from From Software, hated developer of Tenchu, Armor Core and Otogi -- a Bermuda triangle of boredom. Is there any news more unappealing than "From Software is releasing a game called Ninja Blade"? Boring developer, making a game with the most generic and boring title ever. BUT WAIT. From Software ALSO made Metal Wolf Chaos, the game where you play as the President in a Mech, trying to single handedly stop a coup mounted by your war mongering VP, Richard Hawk. DICK HAWK.
I think it's the Metal Wolf Chaos guys who made Ninja Blade. The Ninja Blade demo starts with a platoon of futuristic ninjas jumping out of a cargo plane. They're told that they're being air dropped into Tokyo to stop some huge attack on the city. The first ninja's line of dialog in response to this is "whatever." Then he jumps out of the plane, and presumably stabs something a million times. Then you jump out of the plane and proceed to play one level of God of War, but set amongst Tokyo skyscrapers. |
