You're trying to tell me it's cheaper to truck a bunch of cartridges to a landfill and having a bulldozer cover them with dirt, as opposed to just dumping them in the trash like regular waste or recycling? (Further, that far back I don't even think most places did recycling anyway.) Come on. It's going to be more expensive to just throw stuff in the trash, than to have the stuff loaded in a dump truck or other storage container, trucked to a landfill, then buried?
