No, they were just dumping the games and it was cheaper than paying to properly dispose of them. Use your head. I am. (Further, that far back I don't even think most places did recycling anyway.) Come on. It's going to be more expensive to just throw stuff in the trash, than to have the stuff loaded in a dump truck or other storage container, trucked to a landfill, then buried?
