Re: Uh...

Are you saying there is a difference between talent and quality? I mean, I'm pretty sure most of my stuff is awful. That isn't the point. I'm trying to get better, but it is either not working, or working so slowly that I can't tell. In response to Junior Allen, I'm fine with not being liked. I would really like to produce a piece of work that can influence a large number of people. Make them feel something. Dislike or like aren't good enough. I don't know if I'm on my way to doing it, but I guess I'll keep writing and posting.
Thing is, for me, even though I'm giving off the dislike vibe, the actual writing causes supreme indifference in me. I don't know what exactly it is, maybe I'm stupid and need a few lead-off sentences written in standard, colloquial English instead of some high-falutin' variation of it, but your writing is a lead shield to my radiation. It has some kind of power to make me not want to read it, maybe due to the arrangement of sentences, the giant block paragraphs, the description for description's sake, the failed attempts at clever turns of phrase. Next time you post something, I'll try my best to actually read the thing and then make some real suggestions.
