Thanks for saying nice things and maybe you're right, but I think I'm pissing off guys like Fabio. To be fair though, fuck those guys, and I'd appreciate it if Fabio talked about his wanks every once in a while. It would be pretty hilarious.

Anyway, I thought of another time when I had an interesting crying situation:

So, when saying goodbye you're supposed to either not cry at all or cry just for important people. Either is appropriate. You look tougher if you don't cry, but it's actually much easier to say goodbye if you cry because you don't have to say shit: 'your tears say more than words ever could'. You just hug them and mumble some shit and you both leave feeling very happy that the world brought you together. Otherwise, without tears, you have to come up with some bullshit speech that usually doesn't sum up how important the person was and you leave feeling awkward and lacking closure or whatever.

I knew I couldn't cry for my Indian girlfriend because I didn't love her or even like her. I fucked her because people said it was impossible to get an Indian girlfriend in India and I wanted to impress people. I didn't even invite her to my farewell party because I wanted people to sympathize with me about the Gypsy and I couldn't make my Gypsy sob story sobby enough if the Indian was around. But, I couldn't be a total asshole and leave the country without saying goodbye or I'd feel guilty, so I invited her over just before I left. As I said, I knew I wasn't going to cry for her and that's fine. For all she knew I was just really good at hiding my feelings.

There was only this ugly, hippy, Dutch girl in the apartment as we were leaving and I swear I didn't give a shit about her, but while saying goodbye to her, I cried. And I only cried twice the whole time I was in India, so what the fuck. It was really weird and embarrassing and she didn't cry in return, because we really weren't that close and I don't know why it happened and I was swearing as I was crying and laughing because even at the time I realized it was weird, so I must have looked a total freakshow.

Anyway this fucked me with the Indian because she'd already quizzed me about all the girls I lived with out of jealousy and I told her the Dutch girl didn't mean shit to me. So, I just cried over someone who didn't mean shit to me. Either I was lying or I had to cry at least that much for the Indian or she'd be gravely offended and think I never really loved her. The whole way down the staircase, I was trying to think of sad thoughts but nothing was happening and I was instead feeling annoyed at her that I had to try and fake it like this. If you were a better person, I wouldn't have to try so hard to cry, bitch!

I was under pressure too because I hated walking with her in public at the best of times. There are no public displays of affection in India, but she always wanted to show off our 'shared' modern western mindset by holding hands, because we don't GIVE A FUCK what India thinks about our public displays of affection (except I totally worry about it, even in the West, let alone somewhere I could get stoned for it).

Anyway, I was hoping to cry before we got to the marketplace because there was no way I was crying in an Indian market place. I'm too proud for that shit, people! If I could cry before the marketplace, I could convincingly tell her it was too painful for her to walk me to my rickshaw because my tears would embarrass me, and she'd understand and leave thinking I gave a fuck.

I couldn't do it, though, so I stopped her at the last empty spot before the market and with no tears I told her I didn't want her coming to get a rickshaw with me. This was my last chance to cry! I was hoping I'd get emotional during my little speech and build up to something, but I couldn't. I didn't explain myself very well, either. She didn't understand why I didn't want her to walk me through the market to my rickshaw. She thought I was ashamed of her. I told her something like I wasn't ashamed of her, I was ashamed of being with her given the circumstances, which kind of made sense in my head but came out totally offensive.

I've never heard from her since. I still wank to thoughts of her friend occasionally though.
