Nexus: Revolutions. Try to keep up.
The Revolution disc uses the same engine as the Evolution disc. The core game mechanics are identical for both, it's just the missions are different. The point still stands that Ninebreaker is functional evolution over Nexus, that's plainly obvious.

Too bad it doesn't ship with a competent inexpensive versus option, which defeats the fucking point of a game tuned towards multiplayer play. WHY ARE YOU SO OBTUSELY STUPID?
Sub-argument: Because I know you're going to throw it out there, but no, I don't consider two PS2's, two USB cables, two TV's, two controllers, two games, two of fucking EVERYTHING a good multiplayer solution. You know what? If Ninebreaker came with a JEWELLED FUCKING CHALICE I suppose it would be a good buy too!
Ninebreaker could be played online though, via XLink Kai and that's both competent and entirely free. Anyway, most people at that time still used the local multiplayer options, so the versus focus did have an eager audience both in the US and abroad.

I'm talking about the default arena, not the AI Partner extra, jackhole. And yes, being able to fire grenades on a non-tank or four-legged model without remaining perfectly still is cheating. You're just in your own little fucking world here. I could tell you I really didn't like the taste of the cheese appetizers on Ninebreaker and you'd just nod sagely and continue on arguing about how its weapon balance and part design was magnificent.
OP-I was available to the player as well though, so it's not a cheat (as you had to earn each ability as well, which was different than how Human Plus used to work).

WHO FUCKING MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT WEAPON BALANCE?!
Ok, here's my argument, see, and its point? Now here's you. You're over in Red fucking China. You're just either batshit loco or feigning retardation to the point I flip my keyboard and quit trying to communicate with you.
If everyone uses the same weapon because it's uber the versus element of the game ends up being a bit dull. Weapon balance is important if you want to have a varied and exciting multiplayer game, something the games rekindled after AC2AA. |
