It kills me when people cry, "Nobody likes the skinny little waifs!" They were only the most compelling characters in the book. Book readers "in the know" soaked up all these inside nods and jokes while highfiving each other and laughed at all the people who didn't "get it".



Was Blade 2 regarded as good? The invincible spider vampires killed it for me they same way Terminator 2 did. The battles dragged on, no one was killed or hurt. Hey, the ending for Blade 1 worked, why not do the exact same thing? Blade is captured in vampire stronghold, receives large amounts of blood, suddenly goes superhuman and kicks ass (why didn't burned face vampire hop into the blood pool too?). The super head spider vampire, who was invincible the entire movie, sudenly dies all because he got punched a lot then stabbed, even though the other spider vampires shrugged off snapped necks, hundreds of bullets, and even complete eviscerations? I guess they're only invincible until the script decides otherwise.

Supercool skinny pale waif sidekick was also in Blade 2, as was lame head vampire. But the lame last boss fight began back in the original.
