Well multiplayer ones can be the worst, whatever way they do it in stupid smash bruddas brawl where basically everything in the game has to be unlocked first, so you can't just throw it in and play, you have to unlock sonikku and snake and all this other gay shit by playing for 5 hours or whatever.

On the other hand I think the (apparently very successful) COD4 system where you level up and get better weapons as you keep going. That is mostly easy to unlock shit, you can gain 10 levels and get a lot of decent guns just from playing for a few minutes, and then if you want the hardcore shit (gold deagle IS THIS OPERATOR?) you have to play for a while.

Unlockables should not be hard though, because most games aren't good enough, and there are too many games anyway, that all want you to jump through ridiculous hoops to get shit that isn't remotely worth the time you put in.
