They're now doing that things nerds do when they're extremely uncomfortable with conflict. They've gone on for a page and a half about various kinds of nuts.
Here are some great quotes:

I work with people like this. Nerds (hopeless nerds) really do talk this way in person. When one of my coworkers said, "Says the person who..." in talking about himself, I cringed. This had the effect of emboldening the other closeted nerd cases.
I'm not going to point out the disconnect on the earlier "manchild" line, because you knew the real truth as a reader here. But Holy Shit. They've exceeded even their relentless fucking dorkitude.
