Minecraft v Legos by Last 06/15/2011, 8:47am PDT
I expect the counter-argument to be "Didn't you enjoy Legos when you were a kid? Isn't Minecraft fundamentally the same?"

1.) Yeah, I loved Legos when I was a kid! Now they are a rare, fleeting diversion.

2.) Legos were much more interactive. Not only are there more moving parts in a box of Legos than in the entire world of Minecraft but also I can move Lego creations around with my hands. A Lego firetruck is a toy firetruck. A Minecraft firetruck is a statue that took 7 hours to assemble. Also, you can move little Lego people around your playfield and make up stories and play. With Minecraft you can make statues, befriend a dumb dog, kill dumb mobs, or get griefed.

I guess the lack of interactivity in Minecraft is the key complaint.
