You have a Grenade Launcher guy (sometimes, randomly), but when dragging his firing arc you always know exactly where the boom will go. There are no direct impact grenades, they're all fuzed to the same time (3 seconds - a turn is 5). The entire game made me feel as if the WEGO genre - until Frozen Synapse - was way too deeply immersed in emulating turn-based percentage-to-hit tweakery instead of capitalizing on the mindgames that a good WEGO can offer. |

Combat is entirely deterministic. And yeah, the game is great. by Gutsby 01/08/2012, 12:51pm PST
