If that's not important to you, just pay it online if you have the option. Maybe back in the day you could leave an unpaid ticket or two and hope it got lost in the shuffle, but nowadays court records are computerized (with public browsers) and if you get caught smoking a joint at age 16, that joint will haunt you to the grave.
