Clinton was a good President. Not a great husband, or boss, but that's not what people should be looking for in a nation's leader. I didn't like a lot of things he did, but all other issues aside, he wasn't a bad Prez, he was a good one.
BJ came along, and did a LOT of things conservatives didn't like. He was a far, far cry from a fiscal conservative. BUT, he wasn't nearly as bad as many liberals have convinced themselves he was during his tenure. His administration tried multiple times to add regulation to the housing industry...which was shot down by, among others, Barney Frank. He ran up HUGE bills through social spending, which should've made liberals happy...but it seemed to make them angrier instead. He came up with that abysmal stimulus plan, which is still teetering on the brink...
You just watch while, to the dismay of today's liberals, history judges GW Bush as a midlle-of-the-road President instead of a murdering murderer, somewhat behind Clinton, somewhat ahead of Carter. No idea about Obama, though--we've all become incredibly polarized, cheering on dirty pool as long as it's our side doing it. |
