Yeah, I was wowed by that effect too the first time I played Independence War 2. The game still sucked in the end, despite that little piece of graphical fluff. Why was it so inferior to I-War 1? Probably because they changed from mission-based to Elite-clone.

I'm impressed you have time to play Frontier 3 at all between your marathon sessions of Civilization: After Earth.
