Naw christ you're not a redpiller, I just saw some meeting in the middle there by Worm 12/09/2016, 1:05pm PST I felt that the MRA assholes had half a point and it's nice to see the #KILLALLMEN crowd possibly adopt a few of them. That's how I felt about the first video. I agree though that the conflation of general masculinity with machismo is definitely mistaken. Also I agree that a lot of these people are pretty out of touch. The mass shooter link is pretty fucking stupid but I kind of dismiss that as just marketing. Though it's hard for me to write this shit off because I can see it within myself. I think we mostly agree, the only saving grace for the MTV video would be if it's actually self narration and a lot of liberal people behave like fucking pricks online. I don't know how much young people are being excessively hurt by "teach boys to not rape" rhetoric since I think it's generally pretty fringe but that might be because I live in a really rural/blue collar area so I just don't encounter this shit. I think the role reversal point is a good one though because you have a lot of women being incredibly aggressive and stupid about this shit. Though I think it's just a rising issue of most people on the Internet operating in 'bad faith' and then that Internet behavior manifesting in the real world. Over time I'm hoping that the stubborn people get weeded out and stop being listened to and the reasonable people prevail.
