video of tons of white people explains why some of my least stupid friends in minneapolis are taking the local police chief's mention of out of state actors seriously
apparently the local PD arrested 40-some people and even though 30+ were state residents they mentioned outside actors, which is mighty convenient when one of your own cops got arrested for third degree murder while three more stood by
there's also some video of the guy damaging the autozone floating around and people talking about whether or not he's an instigator, but mostly my question is why would people descend on minneapolis for a riot when there are major demonstrations all over the country: LA, NYC, Seattle, Philly, Portland, Pittsburgh, and DC, with varying levels of violence from building damage to police cruisers getting set on fire to downright civil behavior followed by cookouts
minneapolis was not unique in violence, there was someone shot the next day. local police are talking about white supremacists and out of state actors and the president is mocking the mayor and the chief, so I'm sure everything is on the up and up
It's chaos.
I admit, I only started watching because I do work for a photography studio ten minutes from ground zero.
Welp time to find a new line of work I guess.
I'm going to end up a goddamn greeter at Walmart. |
