I've also found that some places only exist for delivery, they have no interior to order or eat on-site. I wanted to visit 800 Degrees Pizza but they're one of these. I thought the philosophy was: restaurants don't make a lot of money, or lose money, on the delivery apps so they really want you to try the food and then later come to the actual location. But now I dunno, I guess some places can make all their money this way.
I had just the opposite experience! I am not able to use the apps now, but back a few years ago when I did I was practically going down the list of them to try them all out. LIKE A FATTIE. I had three straight weekends of not getting a successful delivery from this one place. This one particular place. Each time they would accept my order, but 10 minutes later cancel it.
Being stubborn I was not going to stop trying. I started telling this story to people out here about the place that takes the order and doesn't deliver and I was asked what place it was. The place was "Randall's Climax Lounge." I was then informed that Randall's is a local strip parlor and -- why nobody was sure why they were on UberEats to begin with -- no, ole Randall wasn't fully participating in the app to where I could order chicken wings from them at 11:30AM on a Saturday and get them.
Sorry, Randall. =(
