The sound of the house settling under tons of crackling ice is only drowned out by the sound of cars sliding into the ditch down at the bottom of the hill, and the ensuing emergency vehicles rushing to pull the rednecks from their doom!
Nobody left the house today, which is the first time we've lived here where that happened, because on every other day, getting out of the house for 30 minutes to go to the store is the shining, glistening starry highlight of my day.
I was here the whole day. If that's not a horror story, you haven't been over here lately.
