| Chani spends most of the movie like Britta from Community trying to explain how much fucking smarter she is than every other Fremen on the planet and doesn't believe in any of this bullshit.
Some whoppers she tells - Says the whole prophecy was imported by the Missionara Protectiva. Some secret society you got there ladies that some fremen bumpkin knows your biggest secrets. - Says Paul isn't Fremen by blood. Bitch, your fucking grandfather was born on Katain! You're 1/4th offworlder! - Even when Paul literally tells people their past in front of them she still thinks it's all bullshit. Not even a Reddit Atheist has this kind of unwarranted skepticism. - Fucks off at the end of the movie to go into the desert by herself. Maybe she'll turn back up carrying his twins and wanting child support or something but it all seems incredibly stupid when we know what happens to her. Dennis Villenueve can't escape the golden path, as much as he tries. |
