| The series has been shit since 6. They keep getting some brain damaged lead designer who gets it into his head that top priority is "fixing" one single problem, they radically design the entire system to ram the "fix" in, and nobody bothers with playtesting anymore so of course the whole thing is a broken mess that doesn't work.
They did this with the stacks of units in 5, then tried that again in 6, failing each time. I usually don't regret because I haven't paid full price in forever, but I paid $60 for Civ 6 for the dumbest reason. I was a temp worker and a department director said we should totally do multi-player and I really wanted to be hired permanent. So I dropped $60 to be his Civ 6 Steam buddy and regretted it after 2 days. (I didn't get hired) :( (they fucked up Civ 7 by trying to "fix" the early lead snowball problem) |
