I don't know about 5 but 4 was stupidly easy. Also stupid. The ending scenes, with scripts that I thought only the laziest of the Westwood writers could have churned out, we mildly amusing due to their ineptitude. The Jax one with the criminal saying something like "You're going to throw me off a cliff? This is police brutality!" to which Jax responds "Not brutality... FATALITY!!!" was especially great.

The Mortal Kombats: 1 was only really cool because it had death, blood and digitized actors in it (and GORO!!! of course), gameplay it had nothing on SF2. Yet I loved it, of course. 2 was 1 plus more characters and friendly fatalities, nudalities and whatever else would outrage congress. I think that one was probably actually okay at the time. 3 seemed to be a step back (MORE ROBOTS!!). They were all clunky and ugly. And the moves weren't that fun to pull off, but okay to watch. 4 needlessly added weapons and rocks to hurl. Oh and another dimension, that impacted gameplay in no real way. What does 5 bring to the table?
