The 5000 different forums to keep track of gives me enough of a Caltrops fix. Steady IRC would sap the life out of forum activity, you know, like that other site. As homonerd as it sounds, I'd be up for an every-once-in-awhile kind of gathering. Otherwise, here's what IRC with me is like:

[02:40] <[Vesto]> Who is involved and what are each of your roles in the creation of the story?
[02:40] <[Otlano]> First I am the author.
[02:40] <[Otlano]> VirFerox joined on at the beginning of this week as my editor
[02:41] <[Otlano]> Silence and Mauler will be doing art for the story
[02:41] <[Otlano]> The rest of TheCompany employees have been able to read the story as I go and have put in their ideas and criticisms
[02:42] <[Otlano]> I listened to the ideas and have implemented some of them.
[02:42] <[Otlano]> So I got a lot of people helping out here. end
[02:42] <[Pixie]1> Can you give us a brief overview of what the story is about?
[02:43] <[Otlano]> There is one main character called Black Tiger.
[02:43] <[Otlano]> The story revolves about him.
[02:44] <[Otlano]> Some type of game or conspiracy is drawing him or you could say has forced him to participate
[02:45] <[Otlano]> There are many factions involved and all are trying to get him on thier side only he doesn't know who they are except one and he doesn't know what the reward is for the game. end
[02:45] <[Pixie]1> Have you written any other kind of fiction before now?
[02:46] <[Otlano]> Have attempted before but I made the mistake of not getting other people involed.
[02:46] <[Otlano]> The support I have recieved has been outstanding and helped keep that fire lit. end
[02:46] <[Vesto]> Have you found it easy to write what you have written so far?
[02:47] <[Otlano]> At times. Sometimes I need to stop and think and rewrite.
[02:48] <[Otlano]> My thoughts aren't linear. I have all these ideas tumbling in my head and I am trying to get them out in an orderly manner that makes sense.
[02:48] <[Otlano]> That is why I am having a hard time seeing an end to this story. end
[02:49] <[Pixie]1> Is the story told from the 1st or 3rd person?
[02:49] <[Otlano]> Mostly 3rd person.
[02:49] <[Otlano]> Its kind of fuzzy at times cause I am concentrating on Tiger.
[02:50] <[Otlano]> I don't like to write in 1st person because I want to show the thoughts of others when I need to
[02:50] <[Otlano]> That is too hard in First person and also ruins the flow because it doesn't make sense to see others thoughts when the main character is narrating.

[02:51] <[Pixie]1> Do you relate to any of the characters?
[02:51] <[Otlano]> That is a good question.

[02:51] <[Otlano]> I see myself sometimes in Black Tiger. Also I see some in another character you meet.
[02:52] <[Otlano]> You could say there is a little bit of me in all of them but not all of me in each. end
[02:52] <[Vesto]> What other inspirations did you have appart from Neocron?
[02:52] <[Otlano]> There is a lot of cyberpunk there. I did use a couple of jargon from there.
[02:53] <[Otlano]> Dark City, Blade Runner, The Matrix have all inspired me but I would say Neocron and Cyberpunk are the big two.

[02:54] <[Vesto]> How long do you plan to keep up this project?
[02:55] <[Otlano]> As long as it takes. I want to see the end of it. I am just as curious as the rest.
[02:55] <[Otlano]> Could be a long time though because I have let this story get a life of its own. end
[02:56] <[Pixie]1> Will events from the Beta be included?
[02:57] <[Otlano]> I will do my best to get the story as close as possible to the game. TheCompany is in there. There is a current clan that will have a cameo on the second chapter and maybe more. I got ideas popping up in my head that sound great.
