Or if it merely conforms to the conventions of the genre? Also, are you trying to be fairly exhaustive in your coverage, or simply stick to the "greats" or "well-knowns"? Without answers to those questions, I’d suggest "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream", as well as "Prisoner of Ice". In fact, there’s a whole crowd of adventure games you might want to glance over (Wolfsbane, Daughter of the Serpent, Shadow of the Comet, Dark Seed). And what about Sanitarium? I know nothing about it, even if it qualifies as horror, but I felt it deserved mention.
