I didn't know any of that. Anyway, when the virtual Ariel Sharon says "we silenced Henry Ford", as in all conspiracy theories the "we" is an entire race not just himself and friends. I think I may just adopt that style of speech as it really makes you feel PART of something important. The side benefit of course is that you get to take credit for things with which you are not involved. "We put a man on the moon." "We won the Stanley Cup!" "Here's what we should do to improve on the Morrowind engine." "We defeated Saddam Hussein and saved the world." Yeah, that's fun.

Notice some important difference between my statement (the Morrowind one, for those of you fastidiously avoiding the "Are Games Art?" forum), and all the others there? All the others are statements of fact. Mine is a suggestion for a direction. Hurrrrrrr that no mean any . . . thing you say as you stumble over a two-syllable word - and here's why it does:

The others are all drawing circles around things that don't exist and claiming a property about it: 'We' the Jewish race who all participated in the conspiracy, 'We' the American race who were all involved in the Apollo launch, 'We' the Canadians all involved in justifiably bitchifying the United States. These claims about who did what are clearly demonstrably wrong and only made so that the author can feel part of something they were not.

What I said was a suggestion for a direction for any developer who is currently, will be, or at least strongly intends to be on a development team for a world-simulation game. It is meme-propagation for a proposal, not an attempt to make a false factual claim about a fictional group I don't belong to.

I probably shouldn't respond to such an idiotic, obvious troll but the simple fact is that many people aren't going to spot that little detail and will think you're being really clever when you're in fact being incredibly dense.
