Is it just me, or is the exploration in this game significantly less rewarding than, say, FFX ("Great, did stupid mini puzzle to find this chest...A FUCKING POTION? Fuck you, Japanese people"). Then again, this Chocobo minigame is a barrel of laughs compared to FFX's. I hope there aren't a whole lot more timed sequences like the hunting one, easy and long is a recipe for boredom. In any case, compared to Wild Arms 3, this game is a godsend.


The hunting one was amusing for me because of the ultra-cheap technique I used to win it. Usually Reis is the main competition. All you have to do is get ahead of Vivi in points (not hard) then get into the giant boar fight. Intentionally kill Reis in that fight and you win.

I never bother with FF minigames anymore. They haven't been fun since the golden saucer.
