Logically, he would have been briefed about the hijackings/lost planes the instant the first plane slammed into the WTC. While I'm sure it comforts you to assume he's unusually stupid, he is the President, and as such, kept on top of things like terrorist attacks. "The first plane", in his mind, likely meant the first plane hijacked. Of course , it's en vouge to say we orchestrated the whole shebang these days, at least if you ask the Germans.
Also, I did bother to read the timeline, and I can say unequivocally that I wasn't looking at the clock at any moment the the camera was on the towers. |
