Frankly it's because of L_K - an intelligent, rational opponent is a lot more interesting. While there are no shortage of pseudo-intellectual leftist hellholes/circle-jerks around the Internet for intelligent conservatives to debate in, there's a (seeming) serious lack of intelligent conservative forums to debate within - most of the ones I've found are a lot like that Britney Spears quote endlessly repeated, or Coulter fanclubs full of XXX-TREME LIBEAL BASHING LOL!!!!
Which is not to say that the liberal prols are really any better or, truth be told, more open-minded - but Jesus God at least you can get them to TRY to engage you on an intellectual level (this is an open call for you to name a good conservative forum if you know one, L_K).
