FUCK.
Not only do we not have a psql commandline, or any pgdump or importation utilities of any kind - the shitty webinterface they give us is bereft of any importation utilities as well. There is literally no way for us to load backup.sql onto the new machine. MotherFUCK. I wrote them and asked them to do it since I'm unable. If they don't write back by like 3-5PM today we're pretty fucked here.
For the time being I've setup the frontpage so that the link in index.html to the forums points back to the old machine, and put in a placeholder pointy.php with a link back to the forums on the old machine. That's why you can still use the site - the DNS propagated FAR faster than the old 24-48 hours it used to take (took about 6). Right now the front page/content is loading from the new machine, the forums from the old machine, more or less.
I understand the justification for not giving us access to these tools (it is shared hosting, afterall, and Caltrops never topped 5% CPU usage of a much, much shittier box), but not having ANY method of bulk-importing the DB has really hamstrung us for the time being. Hopefully it gets worked out tonight.
