The first 2 hours of stealing peoples shit and walking from town 1 to town 2 was a pretty good primer for the fun I was sure to have but at some point I realized I must start questing if I wanted to level up.
First quest, kill 3 cave rats. Ok good they're starting me off with the easiest possible objective.
I swing my sword INTO the first cave rat about 50 times (an impressive feat) hit it once sometime during the first 5 attempts, and slowly get nibbled to death for no good reason.
Second attempt I cast a fire spell 3 times, two hits and it's dead bt so is my mana. The two rats upstairs gang tackle me and kill me before I get to swing my sword or cast a spell anymore than 25 times.
8 (eight) deaths later it's time to concentrate on Mercenaries Mech Assault 2 and Crimson Skies. Or better idea, abandon the Xbox and play Elite Force 2 Freelancer SNES roms or Crimson Skies (for the PC).
Funny story on my final retry, I give up on taking quests from the fighters guild and join the mages. Their first quest is to wander 3/4ths of the way back to town 1 and fetch mushrooms. On my way out of town I punch the power button and throw the controller aside in disgust. It's too bad that this game wasn't any good because even if it was only a little lame I could have spent maybe a half hour a day on it.
Someone might want to replace the incredibly gay ass Morrowind reviews on claports with this one. I had less trouble learning to play Fallout without a manual. |
