Did any of them talk about popping a guy's helmet off and stomping his bloated head like so many ants? No. Emergent gameplay.
I didn't read the entire article but I have a question about this definition. All games that have simple rules are emergence games? Or all games that have players doing unexpected things are emergence games? How, specifically, does Solitaire count as an emergence game anyway? Is emergence complexity from simplicity or the opposite? If anyone can clarify, I'd appreciate it. This sure sounds like a cool buzzword thrown in for appearances sake to me. |
