I take your question to mean: he had to do it because the Democrats won a majority in congress. Okay, then that means he never intended to fire Rumsfeld and is just saying, oh yeah I meant to do that all along sheesh. (I'm not clear how the Democrats could force Bush to fire someone in his cabinet, btw.)
Or you're saying that Bush doesn't make decisions at the Whitehouse and it's, like, Cheney or Obi-Wan telling him what to do. I dunno.
Also, why didn't the Republicans pass that minimum wage increase before the elections? Wouldn't that have been a good idea? (Not that I'm in favor of that, but still.) |
