Shark's case was looking pretty shaky for a while there. Then, with four minutes left on the episode clock, one of his assistants uncovered (offscreen) a key piece of evidence proving the defendent's guilt. Even though it was a capital case and opposing council wasn't made privy to this evidence during disclosure, the conspicuously Asian judge decided - without missing a beat - that he was "going to allow this."
Then the jury convicted and Shark went home to eat Chinese food with his teenage daughter. They bonded for the last 1:30 or so. Shark revealed that the happiest day of his life wasn't the day he won some big case but [SPOILER] the day she was born. Then James Woods did a Jimmy Stewart impersonation. His daughter burst out laughing and we faded to the producer's name which I was surprised to learn wasn't Donald P. Bellisario.
The best part of the whole episode was the Spider-Man 3 trailer featuring Lowell off of Wings as The Sandman. The second-best part was the preview for Stanley Tucci's new show in which he plays a character a lot like Shark but, here's the twist, he's a DOCTOR. Where do they come up with this stuff? |
