Here's a better complaint: why are silos under the BASE DEFENCES tab?

Also the surveyor base expander vehicle. Huh?

In a sense the graphics are a step back from Generals. The infantry no longer look like Tron elven figureskaters, but the cost was stripping out all the cool pyrotechnics.

It might be that C&C3 defaulted the graphics on my Motherhead 9000 to ULTRA HIGH, but the shader heat effects look great. It's clearly better looking than Generals, although I am surprised with how un-cutting edge it is. I still can't run BF2142 at it's highest settings.

It's the nuke that gets me. The Generals nuke was hands down the best explosion in videogame history. The C&C nuke gives the one-two punch of looking less impressive AND slowing the game down to 0.5 fps (game runs fine at all other times). I have to make sure to look at a different part of the battle to avoid freezing up. DON'T LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE BLAST(realism?)!

However, I'm still hestitant about the ~~Zerg~~ alien faction.

Protoss carriers! I can't wait to see what framerate fraction that rift superweapon gives my machine. Here's a complaint: every super weapon just seems to be a nuke with no varience other than appearance. Where's my particle cannon/scud storm/nuke/Yuri mind control device?

Infantry being blasted halfway across the map? Gone.

I do miss the ragdolls.

Holy fuck! I just noticed infantry dudes don't run around on fire! Flame tanks just make them fall down =(. A staple of the series since 1996: gone.

Hint: to play as NOD, go to the pulldown menu, click on NOD, then press 'N'. Do the same with 'G' to make the computer play GDI. This also works for AI behavior selection.
