25. Halo Wars (X360) - Trailer Eh, it's too new to be interesting. It's a nice trailer but if youre picking the 25 best game cinematic things evar Im sure this would be around 26th place instead. The game will probably suck anyway. 24. The Curse of Monkey Island (PC) - Opening I heard a lot of good things about this series, and the one demo I played a few years ago seemed nice (if a little too adventure gamey). So I will take IGN/gamespy.com's word for it here and not watch this trailer. 23. Final Fantasy XII (PS2) - Opening It's far down the list, so ok. My favorite cinimatic from any FF game would either be one of the many from FF3/6/wut (does that not count?) or the part where all the awesome shit flies out of the north crater near the start of disc 2 in FF7. 22. Halo (PC) - E3 Demo for the PC REMEMBER WHEN HALO WAS GONNA BE MOTHERFUCKING AWESOME? Yeah, it turned out to be kinda standardishly plain and straightforward for an FPS. Or as xtina agulera might call it "safe predictable NO EDGE." Because... no edge is the opposite of edgy. Also: the PC port of Halo fucked up the mouse control, it was like using the stupid ass thumbsticks but with a mouse. :( FUCK!!!!! 21. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) - E3 2006 Trailer I hope Snake slices some throats, otherwise this won't be more interesting than the hour's worth of the first game I played. Having half your fucking fighter characters just more lookalike pokemons is fucking annoying. That kind of thing almost makes me wish the Wii wouldn't end up outselling the PS3. 20. Kingdom Hearts (PS2) - Deep Dive Japanese-only Special Ending ... no fucking comment. Except to say, ENJOY A BOX FULL OF AIDS. HERE, I THINK THIS BELONGS TO YOU *GIEVS YUO AIDS* 19. Halo 2 (Xbox) - Master Chief Rides the Bomb Can you use any cutscene as an example for this fucking article? Yea this was a nice part of the game... which I watched a zillion times. You reach a point where you just say "this really is kinda ridiculous" and start skipping every cutscene in the game. 18. Warcraft III (PC) - The Death of Hellscream I thought this was gay. They were trying really hard to make orcs interesting and [whatever] like the Klingons in Star Trek. So they totally rip off Star Trek TNG and DS9, and then water it down so it's not entertaining. Nice fire effects on the demon guys mouth tho. It's like theyre glowing inside his head. 17. Halo 3 (X360) - TV Commercial So, will the master chief actually have a character in Halo 3? I doubt it. Way to tease us Bliz I mean whoever the fuck makes Halo Oni and Marathon. 16. Ico (PS2) - Opening So did this game not suck? I never played it, but I watched a "speed run" video on youtube where the character leads a girl by the hand all over the place, like an extended version of that one part in MGS2. Until someone answers my question about Ico's possible quality Im gonna skip this video. 15. Final Fantasy VIII (PS2) - Opening Squall gets cut in the face, and has a gay coat. 14. StarCraft (PC) - 2nd Zerg Cutscene The one where they blow up the science station. I liked this one. 13. World of Warcraft (PC) - Opening Ten minutes of watching an extremely ugly night elf whore run in the woods. Shamans actually get nerfed DURING this video. :( 12. WarHammer 40K Dawn of War (PC) - Opening Why is this in 12th? Fucking IGNspy fuck faggot fucks (fags). They are cunts for putting this right next to shit ass wowcraft as well. 11. Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) - Opening Bungie jumping is the cool new thing huh. BUNGIE JUMPING? YES. Also, he breaks the stealth camo which is the only actually good part of this video. STEALTH CAMO? It's an ok scene but definitely not better than the Warhammer 40k Dawn of War opening, so fuck this. WARHAMMER FOURTY THOUSAND DAWN OF WAR? (ugh thats annoying) Purified hydrogen bomb. 10. Final Fantasy VII (PS2) - Sephiroth Kills Aeris Wow these FMVs are terrible now. This one isn't really even very good (she doesn't even bleed so I cant even get an erection), its just from a big plot point scene. 9. Resident Evil 2 (PS2) - Opening Spameguy.com's opinion: "It was a great way to kick off a great game." Fuck them and fuck you, these games were motherfucking ass. Not a single RE game was worth playing until 4. Guess how I know. I fucking purchased RE2 with my first Playstation. I even somehow managed to beat that pile of shit after a few months. I had more fun NOT beating GTA1 than playing RE2. Parasite Eve is a better game than RE2. 8. Silent Hill (PS1) - Opening Is this good? I don't remember. Ok hm. 7. Kingdom Hearts (PS2) - Opening Autofail. 6. MechWarrior 2: Ghost Bear's Legacy (PC) - Opening The graphics in Mechassault look better than this CGI. Sory oldschool MW fans but I don't see the appeal. Even back in the day this would have just been slightly interesting because it was rendered by fucking Industrial Light & Magic. Old computer graphics FMVs have not aged well. I loved MW4 tho (here comes another imminent flamewar from MW1-3 fags, I mean fans). 5. Resident Evil: Code Veronica (Dreamcast) - Opening Do not care. Gamespy is easily impressed. 4. Warcraft III (PC) - Arthas' Betrayal The most inactive cinema scene, perhaps ever. He walks around, he stabs the king (offscreen), he talks. Why is this on the list? 3. StarCraft: Brood War (PC) - Opening I almost hated this for a second just because its on their faggy list. Then I remembered, oh yea its the opening to broo wars. 2. MechWarrior 2 (PC) - Opening Wow those effects are fucking terrible. How do you just one shot a mech like that anyway? And didn't mechs fall down if one leg was damaged? That is stupid bullshit. :( 1. Gears of War (Xbox 360) - Mad World Trailer FINALLY we can start our list of 25 best game cinematic moments. Wait................ this is the last one? |
