| You should always aim to get all 3 trucks, if only for the huge resource advantage you'll gain.
Firefly + Command Tank is the best/easiest thing the Brits have vs the King Tiger, you can sit outside it's max range and pierce it's armour no trouble, whilst your sappers (haha!) or piat commando's have to go all the way round to the rear to get any hope of damage. Also, mines to super rape the KT. A Firefly without a Command Tank is perfectly adequate vs a normal Tiger no matter the veterancy and it will easily take out everything the PE have to offer, apart from the Jagdpanther and a Hetzer that's been allowed to get defensive vet (and it's rare to see both in a game) Emplacements are always your friend, Bofors 40mm is an oddity in the game in that it's more accurate at long range than short (explained by it's inability to aim low enough to be effective) so you should try and have that in the middle of your base, AT emplacement is being fixed next patch so that it isn't outranged by the Marder (a ridiculous oversight, they had the same range but the AT gun fires from the middle of itself and the Marder can sit and plink away at the edges without danger) so you have that more towards the edge, 25 lber at the back but don't make it the goal of your strat. Trenches on the outskirts, but don't build what you won't use cos you don't want the enemy getting it. And if your match setup is You Vs 2 Expert CPU then you'll likely lose often as the Expert setting has extra resources, no pop-cap, cheaper units, tougher/stronger/better units and if it's 2 on 1 then they'll have double the advantage as you don't have a meatshield friend to help out :( |
