My dentist is pretty upset with me. by Fussbett 11/27/2007, 4:39pm PST
When paying my bill and booking my next appointment at the front desk of my dentist today, the receptionist clicked the frowny face icon on my account information, and I was able to glimpse part of this window that popped up before she quickly closed it:
(from memory, and five feet away):

DO NOT BOOK WITH ANITA, EVER. HAS MANY NO SHOWS, SELDOM PAYS FOR MISSED APPOINTMENTS.

Looks like Anita pulled rank and pawned me off on the newer hygienists. Let those noobs deal with the problem patients. Now, in my defence, I'm a high flying middle manager. When I book a cleaning 6 months in advance, I can't possibly know what I'm fucking doing at 2:45 on a Tuesday. Things will come up, and guess what? The dentist loses every time.

And once I was stuck in traffic.

I really don't get the lack of payments though. Are they voluntary? Should I be ashamed? Normally I get a bill and then I pay it (eventually). Mostly I'm shocked that they would bad mouth a patient on a computer that is in plain view when you book your follow-up visits. They might be counter-trolling me.

Today's appointment was for a cleaning with Anita, so I guess someone FUCKED UP. She didn't seem angry, though. I guess because I showed up.
