I've been thinking about having it done ever since I found out I get free dental, but I haven't been to a dentist in ten years and my teeth feel fine. I worry that by visiting one now, without some particularly compelling reason, I could look like a flip-flopper in the game of long-term dental chicken. They'll ask me why I finally decided to come back to professional dentistry, and I'll have to tell them it was out of some generalized non-specific concern over my oral health, and they'll say so basically I caved because I'm a caveman. Then they'll all have a good laugh at my expense and the receptionist will kick the back of my chair and never in a million years sleep with me :(

I do it twice a year, and sometimes they decide to take x-rays and I don't know when. And one time when they did that they found a goddamn extra tooth buried in my upper jaw. And the dentist said I should have it removed and he recommended a surgeon. I've been putting it off for like two years now, and they usually ask me about it.

So you have that possibility to look forward to.
