I was told of a party where an old high school classmate arrived and saw some black Converse All Stars in the hallway. He said "Those must belong to Karen!" but it turns out they were Karen's sister's shoes. Karen had just bought different shoes for the first time in 10 years, and what horrible timing, because her allegiance switch was now exposed. "Ah, well, you can always expect at least one of the Smith sisters to be flying the flag!" At which point Karen LOSES it, ranting that SHE was punk WAY LONGER than any of you guys, and after you guys starting listening to other music she was STILL listening to even PUNKER punk. Everyone took a few steps back from the sobbing Karen. |
