We were the favourites to win the World Cup but lost that game by 2 points to France, and Pakistan knocked us out of the cricket world cup not long after. You cheer harder when your opponents are from asshole countries that you'd like bombed. I don't see how Americans can get so worked up over their 'Phoenix vs Atlanta' match-ups, especially considering how mercenary their players are, and how slow and staggered their sports are (and all the tights and helmets and FAGGOT shit!!). As for the haka, it was compulsory at my first high school, and if the instructors thought you weren't "getting your balls into it" they'd call you out the front to do it alone in front of everyone (which was a very motivating fear). I had to do it impromptu in front of about 50 Europeans and a dozen Indians last year in New Delhi. You're supposed to poke your tongue out as far as it will go at the end, but only the Europeans from rugby playing countries were aware of this and everyone else thought it was an artistic flourish I'd added myself and laughed and applauded.
