As for this entire memorization flurry? So what? Regardless of how steeped the game gets in memorization you still need to be able to deal with the patterns. Geowars is essentially about memorizing specific spawn events (four corner red magnet, circle on player purple diamond, the fucking atoms) and knowing how to react. Though being able to react, and having stamina(or mountain dew) is where the not sucking comes in. I could spend my entire life memorizing segments from Guitar Hero but I still lack the dexterity or rhythm to pull it off, or hammer it on. Does that make me call Guitar Hero a piece of shit? Sure. Does it make it a piece of shit? No.
