At first it seems retarded, and then it seems funny and weird but not very fun, and then it starts to become fun, and after that it's just awesome. It has that Resident Evil 4 feeling of just running around and doing stuff, shooting dudes in the face and then kicking them, tripping a rabbit-man and sneaking up on him just right and stabbing him in the chest--and getting killed constantly but still having fun because you always have interesting choices, and you're enacting them in a world that perfectly maintains its super-serious facade without ever letting any of its ridiculous lore get in your way, so that you are left free to laugh at it and enjoy it in equal measure. Also like in Resident Evil 4.
How did they do such a good job on this game, and then make it look so superficially ridiculous? Well I guess the rabbits wearing pants are a good start. |
