Look at what 20 years of Final Fantasy and MMORPGs have done to us. Once upon a time, if you couldn't beat a game the first time, it meant you had to get better at the game. Now gamers just fall to the ground clutching their belly and whining that the game is broken. Then when someone points out the game isn't broken, they say it's missing a feature. Then when someone points out that that feature is indeed in the game, they fall back on blaming the tutorial. The hell of it is, these are gamers who can handle shit like DMC3 and Godhand, but they still collapse into a quivering pile of pussy the moment the slightest adversity rears its ugly head.
It's like Gametunnel's shitty game of the year awards. Gravitron 2, a gravity game that gives you a lifebar, allows you to land on any surface without taking damage for landing too hard, AND gives you a bullet-reflecting shield gets a fucking 6.3 from them because it's too haaaaaard, while the incredibly shitty euroshmup T.W.T.P.B. gets #5 action game of the year less than a week after it came out. Take that, rescue the beagles and destructivator! |
