I don't have shit. I was pretending to everyone that I was some kind of high flyer with an important job which meant I spent almost everything I got like it was no big thing. I was on $45k/yr. I have about $3k and debts of 20 times that.

Writing is the best excuse lazy people can make to themselves for why they're doing nothing with their life. It's the best because it's the one you can use for the longest. You're never too old too write. I can't kid myself at 27 that I'm gonna be a professional basketball player anymore, but I'll be able to lie to myself about writing until I'm 50 years old. No one should believe that shit for a second and you should stop peddling it.
