I enabled that bull idol when they gave it it to me but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. Now I'm reading that if you upgrade your temple you can activate multiple idols at once, and there's a whole bunch of them. On the one hand I should probably do my due dilligence, start a New Game+ and see if they really do make it more fun, but on the other hand it was such a slog the first time that I kinda never want to play it again.
The proving grounds were neat, though. The quick-draw one was like something out of a Kirby game. And the ending was better than I expected - I don't want to spoil anything, but they give you a new button. Then they take it away again almost immediately and make you carry a log around for the rest of the level (IT SYMBOLIZES WHAT A BURDEN IT IS TO FINISH THIS GAME). Maybe you get to keep the new button in New Game+? I guess now I have to start one after all :( |
