| When there are no enemies and night vision isn't mandatory half the time. Both of those get old very quickly and drain your will to keep going, almost as fast as the night vision drains battery power.
The thing that gets me, the enemies aren't that bad when it's just the "normal" lunatics. When one of them spots you, it's insane whooping and pipe clanging as a gang of them gives chase. When that happens it's like Condemned only you can't fight back. The problem is that only happens twice the entire game. The vast majority of the game you're just hiding out from one big frankenstein guy and HOLY SHIT will you get sick of him showing up. Whether it was from sheer stupidity or laziness, it's frustrating that they had the setup for creepy hollering asylum lunatics chasing you, but decided that 90% of enemy encounters should be against a lone mute frankenstein. |
