VS code has broken JS syntax highlighting. Like, it just stops highlighting after 1500 lines or so. Also, and you may not know this, it's from Microsoft who bats a thousand when it comes to devaluing any investment you make in learning any of their products. Sooner or later, the political landscape at MS will shift and whomever is keeping VS code alive / free / current will be replaced by some clueless asshole who thinks plugins are a form of copyright infringement.
Atom is a toy. Laughably slow and riddled with nasty "oops I lost all your changes" bugs. The performance problems have existed since day one and the remediation plan is to wait for CPUs to get ten times faster. You've got faggots in their forums saying it's not really meant to be an editor per se, but a proof-of-concept that you can put the DOM in places it wasn't meant to go, and moderators threatening bans for people who complain too much about performance. |
