Whoa, am I reading this right? Does someone from Kickstarter hound these guys for stretch goals? You may be being sarcastic so my bad. But it sounds like something they'd do to fuck everyone over and get more money for themselves.

If a campaign blows through it's target quickly, then Kickstarter will "kindly" remind them that they are available to "help" with suggestions to expand. No doubt a number of once featured projects fell victim to this.
Since it's now an established thing some creators might feel obligated, or think they need to do it, too.

I'm snide about it because of the aspect of an involved party, with no risk in the project itself, kicks off scope/scale issues out of the gate to inexperienced teams.
