They made a number of tweaks, including +2 moves for every ship and moving carriers to the mid-game instead of pretty early where it had been. But the change that may just break the game entirely:
* AI’s will now merge with the weakest other civ if they are hopelessly behind after 75 turns.
* Turns before an AI can surrender changed from 100 to 75 but odds of surrendering in a given turn reduced..
I dunno what this means exactly, but in my game on a Ludicrous map (I enjoy pain apparently) more than half the civs have evaporated and it's still pretty early. That's a lot of empty space on a map like this. I think we started with 35 and we're down to 13. It's a massacre too, some turns will have 6 reports of civs being "destroyed" all at once. What the fuck?
Stardock, this sucks.
There are 7 of us left now. Also, I visited the homeworld of one of the "destroyed" factions . . . except I didn't really because it was GONE. Their planets just disappeared. What the actual fuck, Stardock??? |
