I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you have blackbelts in every major Japanese Martial Art to validate that claim.
Based solely on my 2 years of experience with Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu (yes, that is the correct spelling. Stupid American phonic-spelling), and Aikido, my observation is that only two things matter in any martial art: the teacher and the student. The teacher has to know what the fuck he's doing AND what the other arts can do to counter it, the student has to actually show up and practice for the 3-4 years it takes to earn a blackbelt (also please note, Blackbelt != Mastery of the Art). I'll wager that if you took a picture of the Ninjutsu guy and his class on the first day, and again on the day he recieved his blackbelt, both he and the instructor would be the ONLY two faces in both pictures.
Training for a Martial Art isn't hard if you have the right teacher. What is hard is going to practice when you have a ton of other shit to do (figure 6-9 hours a week minimum of training needed for any real learning), and returning to practice after you've been sidelined for 3 months with an injury (or ever returning after an injury).
Again, just my experience. (I'll spare you the "saw 4 ninjutsus get defeated by an 80 year old Daito Ryu guy" story)
